  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot (julienned)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak against the grain into thin strips. Peel and devein shrimp if necessary. Chop vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and cornstarch; marinate the steak for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear marinated steak until browned (about 2-3 minutes), then remove from pan.
  5. Stir-fry shrimp until pink and opaque (2-3 minutes), then set aside.
  6. Combine cooked steak back in the pan with vegetables; stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until veggies are tender but crisp.
  7. Season to taste with salt and pepper; serve warm over rice or noodles.
