  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition; stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients with sour cream until just combined; mix in milk until smooth.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; stir in melted butter until forming a paste.
  7. In each cupcake liner, add batter followed by a spoonful of the cinnamon mixture; swirl gently before topping with more batter.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool before glazing.
  9. Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled cupcakes.
